Properties
Brass is any alloy of copper and zinc.
Muted yellow color relatively resistant to tarnishing.
Higher malleability than copper or zinc.
Excellent acoustic properties.
Relatively low melting point of brass (900 to 940°C)
Fairly easy material to cast.
Naval or Admiralty brass contains tin and is resistant to sea water
90% of all brass alloys are recycled.
